The Full Story
Growing up Joel, the founder of Schwerd's Smokehaus, was used to getting various smoked meat items. As he grew up he realized this wasn't the common thing. Joel started to learn the smoking and sausage making process through his grandpa. After seeing the joy from friends and family who received these various sausages and smoked products, Joel wanted to pass along this heritage to everyone else. This is where the food truck came into play.Â
